Terms & Conditions

 

Payment: Deposit is required to hold the date of appointment and considered due at the time of signing of this agreement. Deposit is nonrefundable, even if service is not received. Considering the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic, please note that deposits will not be refunded due to pandemics or any other “Acts of God”. This is a new industry standard among most wedding vendors. If payment is not received 1 month prior to service, Artist holds the right to cancel appointment. Please keep in mind after you pay your deposit, Square invoices are not charged to your card automatically. You will need to provide payment for final invoice as well. Square does not share your information.

 

Cancellation/Postponement: Client understands that by entering into this agreement, Artist is foregoing other makeup jobs. In the event of a cancellation or postponement of the agreement by Client, the deposit paid is non-refundable. Deposits are transferable if a date change is necessary. A thirty (30) day notice of postponement or cancellation is required. If Client cancels less than 30 days prior to event, full payment will not be refunded. If the Artist must cancel the service due to an error or health issue on the Artist’s part, a partial refund will be sent to the Client within 60 days.

 

Cooperation/No Shows: Artist is not responsible if Client fails to appear or cooperate during makeup applications. If client(s) are late, a refund will not be provided for services not received- as the Artist is foregoing other makeup jobs. Artist will not be held responsible for the outcome of the application if the client cannot hold still and/or refrain from touching their face during or immediately after the application. Consistently watery eyes can affect the outcome of the application and should be considered prior to selecting looks. Eye glass nose pieces can affect makeup due to body heat and natural skin oils. I must have access to an electrical outlet (2 plugs) to use my airbrush machine and ring light for the day of the application. Please provide finalized wedding timeline via email, mail, or text at least 2 weeks prior to wedding.

 

Model Release: Client will allow Jenny Riley Merriman the right to use photos for marketing purposes on Social Media, Website, etc. without restriction. If Client posts photos on social media, it is asked the Client provides credit/tags the Artist in photos.

 

Liability: Client with indemnify and defend Artist against all claims, liability, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees and expenses, arising out of the creation or services by the Artist. Artist will not be held responsible for any damages (bodily, venue, prep site, vehicular, etc.) during contracted time. Artist is not responsible for any allergic reactions to products.

 

Bridal Trial: Trial applications are only complementary for the bride when the wedding is booked and a bridal package is purchased; if wedding is canceled then the trial will become a charged service. Trial applications are complementary for the bride only, and do not include lashes. Trial applications are to help figure out the look the client wants for their wedding- not to be used as a free application for other photography or events. Trial applications are conducted in my home studio- I do not travel to you for the trial. (I do have cats- if this is an allergy problem, please let me know.) It is not recommended to schedule trial applications more than 3 months prior to wedding. If a second trial is requested by Client, that would be an additional charge.

 

Travel: If application count falls below three (3) applications, Client must travel to Artist, unless agreement is reached for special circumstances. If parking charge is greater than $20, Client will receive a bill via email for compensation and agrees to fulfill payment.

 

Independent Contractor: This Contract is not to be construed as an employment agreement in any way. The Artist functions as an independent contractor.
